5MP delivers excellent image quality at a lower price point — ideal for homes, retail, and small business. 8MP (4K) is recommended where maximum zoom detail or very long-distance identification is critical (large driveways, car parks, warehouses). For most residential installations, 5MP is more than sufficient.
